Welcome to Canis Media

The UK’s leading EPG broker and channel launch specialist, Canis Media Group’s corporate history goes back to 2001 when Ed Hall established the company that launched the TV Warehouse channels and worked in joint venture with the Daily Mail Group to launch The Performance Channel onto satellite television. The team has launched channels, sold channels, bought channels and advised on a wide range of television-related businesses.

Today Canis is the UK’s leading EPG broker, dealing with more than 75% of all EPG transactions. Deals have involved Sky, Discovery, ITV, Channel 4, ESPN, Sony, Current TV, Setanta, Freeview, Freesat and many others. Our list of potential purchasers is global and the result of ten years research, with clients in UK, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and the USA.

The group has a complex structure reflecting the many corporate transactions in which the group has been involved since 2001. In 2005 the Canis shareholders sold the channels owned by the group, and the business started offering its services to other broadcasters, and identifying new business opportunities.

The shareholders include Amplefuture www.amplefuture.com, one of the UKs leading providers of SMS and premium rate telephony services.

Recruitment

At Canis Media we aim to provide a positive and rewarding work environment free from discrimination. We invest in training, encourage members of staff to get involved in charity and community work, and we have a policy of internal promotion and development wherever possible. The company makes every effort to avoid the short-term employment contract environment that is common in the UK television industry.

We try to follow flexible working practices, and we provide BUPA private health insurance and are part of a childcare voucher scheme.
